Welcome to GlenWild

GlenWild is all about education and exploring our magnificent local environment, sharing infomation, photographic brochures of over 100 bird species, mammal, reptiles, amphibians and endangered animals. Collecting data (ie time of year, when a bird is seen or photographed), beautiful Calander, fun wildlife Games. All GlenWild documents are created by local wildlife enthusiasts, volunteering their skills and time to share Glenwood Qld wonderful natural habitats.

Glenwood QLD is located betwen Fraser Coast Regional Council and Gympie Council, both regions host a range of Flora and Fauna EVENTS, including: workshops on how to care for wildlife and native plants to grow for wildife in your backyard.

Threats to Flora and Fauna

Native Wildlife threates include; tree clear, desinger gardens with weeds and exotic plants. Domestic animals and hoofed livestock, fencing, pesticides, cheaning chemical, Fertilizer, plastics, animal baits, all effect native Flora and Fauna.

All GlenWild brochures and games use photographs of local wildlife species known to live or visit Glenwood and sounding areas including Tuan and Baulpe Forestry. Information provided is a general overview of flora and fauna including: Names, Class of Species, Habitat, Food, and Breeding Seasons. All photographs were taken by local wildife watchers and kindly shared. Photographs were the best availiable at the time 2023/2024 Contributors have adhered to Birdlife Australia’s “Ethical Birding Guidelines” (2012).
